For this we develop BDF swap body systems that are unique in their modular design, quality and flexible way to use. We offer you excellent service from the moment of ordering ready to use vehicles directly at vehicle builders, to precise construction set delivery, to own construction. Our products are the result of long term experience on the market of swap bodies. Our systematized SDG-modular construction is based on year long tried and tested base construction parts to guarantee the most reliability in the everyday transport. Various patents for example the „double center support with truck loading or the „swivelling HV 350 support arm“ show our practical expertise.
We are devoted to the constant improvement of our systems as well as the new development and adjustment to various types of chassis. To offer you innovative and economic technology, we use our over 60 year long experience in the history of vehicle construction.
Beside the daily tasks of our core business, we are commited to encourage young talents, to reintegrate deprived people and to support social projects.

We believe, we have a responsibility towards our environment. To be responsible for our environment, our goal is to reduce our energy requirement on a continual basis and to use renewable energy. We place a high value to produce gentle on resources and to recycle a various number of components.
The development of trendsetting transport solutions with alternative power transmissions, the ongoing optimization of products to raise efficiency in transportation are part of our efforts to reduce harmful environmental conditions and the carbon footprint.
Within the scope of a continual improvement process we self reflect on regular intervals and state new goals and measure to reach and implement them.

quality through serial production
We are able to produce in serial production as well as in small quantities. We use the most modern laser cutting and welding technology. Constant control and testing of all production steps guarantee the highest and consistent quality.
In order to always meet your requirements and to be able to offer fast delivery times, our business processes are constantly being further developed and improved. Great quality and consistent quality of our products are important to us, here at SDG. That’s why we demand the highest quality of materials and performance.

In 2015, SDG Modultechnik, is one of the leading german manufacturers of swap bodies for intermodal transport. Due to continous growth, the company moved to the current manufacturing location in Bielefeld.
To make your daily worklife easier to your greatest contentment is furthermore our greatest concern and we are excited to face a successful future together.
2010
In 2010 there was a change in the management which coined the company history. Volker and Henrik Hollmann, son and grandson of the founder, took the lead of the company. They envisioned the family company to become market leader for BDF swap bodies.
Therefore, they renamed the company to SDG Modultechnik – followed by focussing on the development and production of BDF swap bodies.
1981
In 1981, there was the first expansion of the factory premises to meet the risen demands. Over 2000 squaremeters of roofed premises were built. New machines were added, as well as new vehicles.
1970
In 1970 the company expanded and turned into a versatile provider of utility vehicles, of restorations of older vehicles and reparation of motor vehicles.
1964
In 1964 Günter Hollmann founded a little wagon-makery named „Karosseriebau Hollmann“ in Bielefeld. The family company is lead now in the third generation with a passionate pursuit to innovate the future.
Since 1964 the company turned into an interregional provider for wagon-makery and reparations of motor vehicles.

Expertise unites. This is our motto for our cooperation with our strong and steady partners, for example our partnership with Fahrzeugwerk Spier in Steinheim. Both companies work together to supply to individual and serial customers and to partner with various chassis manufacturers. The same applies to Schenker AG, to whom we have been a system supplier for many years and who provides many effective customer solutions for the optimum benefit of Schenker haulage contractors.
In addition, we are thankful to have a large number of partners throughout Germany and beyond. Together, we have been able to offer a corporate advice for chassis ordering to a fitting swap body and even a wide range of complete solutions. This can be achieved in a short period thanks to our quick assembling options and precise delivery of construction kits.

Not only is SDG an approved supplier for fleet operators, we also supply original equipment for the truck industry. Our swap body systems are directly delivered to partners of the major european truck manufacturers.
